For the 8th year, The “Black No-Tie” affair will recognize those who have worked to improve communities in southeast Michigan in the areas of Scholarship, Cultural Arts, and Community Enrichment and highlight a local Icon excelling in all three cornerstone initiatives. We celebrate these individuals and groups as they are “unsung heroes” in our community, who like TOWF are committed to “Changing Tomorrow Today”.

Empowerment Workshop – This conference serves as the kickoff event for The Wisdom Warrior project, a program focused on young women of color from grades 9 through 12. The workshop will focus on providing activities and lessons to get the young women thinking about their identity and how they can positively impact the world around them through philanthropy. Participants will enjoy complimentary lunch, raffles and new friendships. The event is free. Registration is requested, but walk-in’s welcomed.
