Mark 

Mark was elected in 2022 as a Torch of Wisdom Foundation Board Member and currently serves as the Corresponding Secretary. As an active advocate for community empowerment through social justice and education, Mark feels the TOWF aligns with his own values and passions. This is an opportunity for Mark to support causes that he is passionate about in an effort to uplift the community.


Volunteering your time and talent does not only benefit the project, but it is also personally fulfilling. Knowing that you are making a positive impact on the lives of others is its own reward. When Mark’s two children were very young, he and his wife would take them to volunteer at a homeless shelter.


Today, they are teenagers, and they take the initiative to volunteer and donate to the less fortunate. Mark is very proud to have instilled in them the belief that you are blessed when you bless others.


Mark is a marketing professional from Detroit, Michigan. He creates photo and video content for digital marketing campaigns and specializes in the use of technology to enable small businesses and nonprofits to compete with major organizations. Mark believes that you do well by doing good. For more than twenty years, Mark has worked professionally in the roles of Marketing Manager, Digital Marketing Consultant, Account Executive, Photographer, Videographer, and Website Designer. His passion for business development and technology started as a teen and continues to this day.


After completing a television broadcast training program in Las Vegas, NV, Mark moved back home to Detroit, MI, and began an internship as a production assistant at Barden Cablevision. In 1993, he enrolled in DePaul University in Chicago, IL to study business administration with an emphasis in marketing communications. Before embarking on his entrepreneurship journey, Mark worked in telecommunications sales and marketing for 15 years. His education and work experience has enabled him to compile a unique set of skills that apply perfectly to today’s world of digital communications.


By 2005, Mark had launched BroadBandPromos, a live event video streaming platform that offered services to music recording artists. In 2012, he launched ZoomShoot, a photo and video digital marketing agency that is rapidly growing in the metropolitan Detroit area. When Mark is not working, he enjoys time with his wife and two kids. His interests include biking, reading, and traveling.


Mark is a member of Southfield Area Chamber of Commerce where he serves on the Events Committee.
