LaShawn
LaShawn was elected to the Torch of Wisdom Foundation Board of Directors in 2010. She previously held the position of Corresponding Secretary.
She is actively involved with the TOWF because she believes in their mission and giving back to her community.
LaShawn has over 30 years of experience as a social worker in the medical field. She is employed with Fresenius Kidney Care, the largest dialysis company worldwide providing education about kidney disease, dialysis modality options, and ways to cope with chronic illnesses.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Ferris State University and a Master of Social Work degree from Grand Valley State University.
LaShawn is a board member of the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan's Detroit Leadership Committee. She is also a member of the Michigan Council of Nephrology Social Workers and Southfield Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
